Donated By: Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care
Hand sewn Ribbon Skirt by Evelyn Finlayson, a traditional artist and fashion designer. Size medium or large
National Ribbon Skirt Day is January 4th
Ribbon skirts act as symbols of identity for Indigenous women, honouring their heritage. Ribbons are sewn onto skirts, and every colour has a special significance to the wearer.
I extend my sincere warm greetings to each of you. We have long anticipated the opportunity to create a culturally friendly Home right here in our community of Kenora. Our team looks forward to our friendship and the opportunity to support your care needs.
